Female Fashion Figure

Never again, will there be another Andy Warhol.  From illustrator to international icon was a life journey fueled by the incredible.  From an early age, Warhol displayed great artistic talent and for many years he worked with deliberate drive to establish himself as a fine artist.  

In time Warhol gained the respect of the art world and became a primary figure in the development of the Pop Art movement.  Warhol lived for his art...working as a painter, printmaker, filmmaker, record producer and author.  His vision and creativity never faltered and he became one of the most prolific and influential artists of the modern era.  Throughout his life, Warhol showed a unique ability to work with the familiar...until he had redefined it as something else altogether.

Offered here is one of Warhol's early works...circa 1960.  The techniques he developed as a fashion illustrator are evident here, along with some hints of what would later become his signature style.  A major innovator of fine art screen printing, Warhol produced astounding results and forever changed the art world. 

This fantastic print is a high quality giclee processed on heavy weight paper, so the colors are especially deep and vibrant.  To enhance the vintage feel of this early Warhol, we selected a traditional frame that features an unusual leather-like texture to the wood, along with some nicely carved details.

The effect works on several levels and is further defined by the use of a museum quality 8 ply solid-rag mat. We have too much respect for the artist and this quality print to cut any corners here...we had to go high end all the way and you'll be glad we did!!!
