There are few works that have had the lasting impact of Vincent Van Gogh's, "Cafe Terrace At Night". Originally painted in 1888...this great piece exemplifies the unique and highly recognizable style developed by Van Gogh.
Since this print was to be prominently positioned in our gallery and it definitely takes up a lot of wall space...we wanted to get the "wow effect" with this oversized piece.
When you start with a quality print of a famous work by Vincent Van Gogh, you can't really screw it up can you?
Well, yes...actually you can. The art is beautiful and full of the furious brush strokes that Van Gogh was known for. His cobblestone street pulls the viewer in toward the little cafe itself...and the warm yellow hues on the awning cut into the deep blue of the night sky...there's alot going on!!! So the worst thing you could do...is to sell this piece short.
We went with a top of the line oversized molding that also has a lot going on. The finish of this frame is something to behold. The distressing that's been done is some of the best we've seen...and the deep espresso color has a hand applied look...like a heavily pigmented paint. The low sheen from the wax sealer gives this frame a great aged effect.

Conservation Reflection Control Acrylic...Much like standard Conservation Clear Acrylic, this glazing blocks 98% of all UV light. In addition...hot spots from interior light sources or sunlight are diffused to soften unwanted glare. If you plan to hang your artwork where glare is a problem, choose Conservation Reflection Control Acrylic.
