Measuring 26" square, this piece is similar in size to Judy Campbell's Balance, but that's where the similarities end. We have a very eclectic thing going on here!!! That said, everybody always has their favorites...and photographer Alan Blaustein is definitely one of ours!!!
We've framed and sold several Blaustein prints since we first opened!!! His photography is very moving and can best be described as dreamlike!!! Blaustein's tremendous command of his craft is evident in all of his work.
Offered here is a print of his original work..."La Mer 4". (Yep!!! "La Mer" is French for "the sea" and yes, we have prints of the other 3 works in this series.)
This is a high quality print...that really picks up all of the detail in these very intricate sand dollars!!! Blaustein has employed his usual technique of shooting when the light is just right. His impressionist images are captured mainly at sunrise, sunset or in overcast weather.
To frame this terrific print we selected a slightly oversized molding with a unique and almost iridescent finish...this effect really works with the print.

Conservation Reflection Control Acrylic...Much like standard Conservation Clear Acrylic, this glazing blocks 98% of all UV light. In addition...hot spots from interior light sources or sunlight are diffused to soften unwanted glare. If you plan to hang your artwork where glare is a problem, choose Conservation Reflection Control Acrylic.
